GW10 Refurbishment
The GW10 Grating Welder was built originally by Lamba back in 1996,
but after many years hard service from its' base in Middlesbrough a few
things had gone wrong mainly due to the floor of the factory subsiding
causing the main transformer chassis to crack.
It was decided by the management of Lionweld Kennedy, that a full
upgrade was the only way to go. A few of the parts were redesigned
including the machine base to give it a larger footprint and to spread
the load.
The main input and output conveyors were fully refurbished using all new
parts where necessary.
The machine has since had an automatic panel stacker fitted ensuring
that the machine will remain in service as Lionwelds' No 1 machine for a
good few years to come.
